ROOMING: CAN I CHOOSE MY ROOMMATE?

Yes! Campers can request roommates during online registration. All roommate requests need to be submitted no later than one month prior to the start of the event in order for us to accommodate. We do try our best to accommodate all requests.

PLEASE only request a camper who is already registered and make sure to have discussed your request with the other camper.

If you are coming to camp with teammates or a group, we want to make sure you room together. Please have one representative from your group email us with your specific roommate requests and we will be sure to make this happen!

STAFF & ADMIN QUESTIONS

In addition to our coaches, we have multiple administrators that will handle all of your child's needs. All our Administrators have kids themselves and understand your child's needs. Our Admin staff is here to help you and your child in any way they can.

Our lead administrator is a former club president and cardiac nurse. She is excellent with children and will most certainly help you in any way she can.

In addition to our lead administrator, we will also have a full time certified trainer that will be on site at all times.

Our Player to Coach Ratio is around 12-1

Our Player to Staff Ratio is around 7-1

TRAINER & MEDICAL QUESTIONS

Our full time certified trainer will be staying on site the entire week and is here to help with any medical needs.

Our trainer will be available at check-in to handle any and all questions and learn about your child's needs. Our trainer will be at your child's full disposal the entire week.

Medical Administration/Scheduling:

Our trainer is fully certified and able to administer medicine in case of an emergency. That being said, all medicine should be self administer-able and your child should be comfortable with this.

Our trainer can help facilitate scheduled medicine to ensure the child has it each day.

Our trainer is not permitted to give out over the counter medicine. All medicines that might be needed (Aspirin, Advil, etc.) should be brought by the player or can be dropped off during the week by a parent or guardian.

FOOD: DIETARY RESTRICTIONS

What if my child has dietary restrictions? Can special meals be prepared?

If your child has any dietary restrictions we will do our best to work with the cafeteria to accommodate their needs. Dietary restrictions are becoming more and more common and cafeterias can accommodate most needs.

Please let us know and we will do everything we can to help accommodate your child's needs so he or she has a great week!

Please indicate any dietary needs in the notes section of registration. All dietary needs/requests should be made two weeks prior to the start of camp.

CAN PARENTS WATCH SESSIONS & GAMES?

Yes! We want you to see our coaches in action. The more you see them work the more you will appreciate their quality.

If you come watch a session or game, we do ask that you do not instruct or coach and watch off to the side. We strongly encourage parents to come watch our World Cup Style Night Games that take place in the evening.

Parents are always welcome to stop by and visit but we ask that you reserve the general common areas for our players: Cafeteria, FIFA Lounge and Meeting spaces, Meeting Hall, Rooms.

SUPERVISION

At The Florida Soccer School your child's safety and well being is our number one priority. We have a strict vetting process when it comes to choosing a location for our residential program and only choose sites where we can ensure our players safety, enjoyment and a successful program.

Our Administrators and Coaches will be present the entire week and our multiple administrators are always available during down time to help with anything our players may need.

Our Administrators are extremely professional and very organized. The housing area is monitored very closely by our staff and we have a strict room check and lights out policy every night. Our administrators and coaches check each room, one by one, to ensure players are in their rooms and able to get the proper rest needed to train hard the next day.

All our Administrators have children themselves so they know how to help in a residential setting. Additionally, all Administrators, Coaches and Trainers have level 2 background checks done through TFSS with the state of FL.

The facilities we use typically have their own security personnel but this is not enough for us at The Florida Soccer School. One of our lead administrators is a police officer and is a security expert. He will be on site at all times proactively ensuring our players safety so they can focus on soccer and have a great week!
